What's in a name?
For starters, "four" is the french word for "oven". Here in the 175-year-old old Chesterfield Inn, the wood fired oven is the heart and soul of our restaurant. Trends come and go, but people have been cooking in wood ovens for thousands of years. That's a lot of time and practice getting it right. The intense heat and subtle smokiness imparts flavors like no other appliance out there today. It brings us back to a simpler time when quality was more important than convenience
Serving traditional Neapolitan style pizzas and a thoughtful selection of salads and appetizers, as well as seasonal and signature entrees, using local, sustainable, all natural and organic ingredients when ever possible. We make changes to our house specialty dishes monthly so there is always something new coming out of the kitchen.
